Dog stain that been on carpet for several days?
One of our dogs either threw up or had some diarrea on the carpet in our upstairs room several days ago. Didn't notice it till today.
I am looking for suggestions for the best DIY home mixes or even store bought cleaner that is most likely to help get rid of the stain. I am currently using this mix.
2 Cups of water
1 Tbsp of salt
1 Tbsp of dishsoap
1/2 Cup of Vinager
This is starting to get it but I was hoping that maybe someone has come across a "special mix" or weapon for these kinds of stains.
Thanks for your help.

Well I swear by Resolve carpet cleaner. Has always worked for me on everything. Problem is, when you start using other stuff and keep adding to it, that it starts becoming a problem to get out. Worth a try tho. Not cheap but worth it to me.

Maybe a little laundry detergent? They were made for stains. And then some stains just don't come out unfortunately. You may have to have it professionally cleaned or maybe rent a DIY one.

After several days the stain becomes set. Everyone has their "go to" solutions. I've used Resolve with good results. I also use Carbona rug cleaner. I'm sure there are home brew methods that may work but those are mostly experimental.

I use LA's Totally Awesome carpet cleaner from Dollar Tree. Spray on, scrub with a brush and then alternate spraying with clean water and extracting with the shop vac. If this was vomit, it is possible the carpet was bleached and thus will not clean back to normal.
