i have nail polish on rug have tried to get it out with nail polish remover and it will still not come out.Can someone please help me.

This is just a suggestion, but you might want to consider some kind of paint thinner. It may be stronger than nail polish remover. On the other hand I'm not sure what it will do to your rug. Sorry. Angela

Use nonacetone nail polish remover (banana oil). Blot from outside stain toward middle with white rag to prevent spreading. Repeat until polish is removed. Then, mix 1 teaspoon dish detergent in 1 cup warm water and blot with white rag to remove oily residue. Mix 1 cup white vinegar in 2 cup water and blot to remove detergent residue. It is important to remove all residues to prevent rapid resoiling and possible staining. Blot, blot with plain water for a final rinse. Do not rub fibers. Avoid oversaturating carpet. Expedite drying by blotting with towels.
