Adding second closet rod.....
Current height is 66 . If I add another rod underneath just for folded Jean's on the hanger is that too low . ??
For the second rod since I'm not adding a shelf do I really need those side wood supports ???

More than likely you do, the holder for the rod needs to be secure and can't be if it only screws into drywall. Adding the cleat insures that you will hit at least 2 studs. The end of the closet rod can then be secured to the cleat.

They make a rod that just hangs from your original rod.
Usually the length of this rod is adjustable.
Height can also be adjustable on some.
Not the sturdiest thing in the world but it should do the trick.
I think your 66 inches is a little low

Help me understand something . ..
I check the side supports . On some of them theres not even a stud behind it . So the nails closer to u r just nailed to drywall ?? (obviously in the corner there is a stud..)

They didnt follow that at for
closet 1 it's at 17 in center and 16
Closer 2 10 and 12. There I dont even see nails near the end of the cleat
i guess I ll just mark where the studs are and secure there.
