Question RJ45 Wiring Question

I have installed 1ea Cat5e cable from an outlet on the second story of our house to an outlet on the 1st story of our house. I understand that there are two different types of terminations that can be at the ends. Either the terminations are a 568a or a 568b. I will have a linksys router upstairs with a short patch cord that will plug into the upstairs port with a Playstation2 plugging into the downstairs port. My question is, what type of termination will be in the upstairs port (either a or b type termination) and what will be the downstairs termination type (a or b). I am going to use the female type terminations from Leviton that are modular plugs that insert into the wall plates.
Any information is appreciated!

It does not matter which you use, A or B, so long as they are all the same.
