Cat 5e - Stranded or solid?

When wiring a home for voice and data, which should one use, stranded or solid? Also is one better for one application then the other?

Thanks!!

Solid is easier to use to punch down. Stranded works better for patch cables, because it survives flexing better. I would buy one kind and use it for everything. There is no performance difference between them. I used solid.

Hope this helps.
