Splitting multi line jack to 2 jacks
#1

I have recently ordered DSL from my phone company. I am trying to install/setup my DSL, but I have a problem. I have 2 lines coming into the office on one jack. In two separate places. The phone company has told me that I need to split my multi line jack into 2 jacks before I can finish the install (add filters, modem, etc.)
The phone jack looks like it has been wired by a 5 yr old as it currently has splitters for phone, fax, etc.
Is there an easy way to do this at the wall?
Please help!!! Thanks in advance!

Your possibilities are many.
You can buy a splitter at various stores (radio Shack, etc.) that will do the job. If this is a wall jack you can buy a replacement cover plate that has two jacks and rewire one line to each jack. You can install a second jack a few inches away from this jack and run wires from the first jack to this new one, wiring the new one for the second line.

line one will be hooked to red and green
line two till be hooked to black yellow
take the wires off the black yellow , hook them to the red green of the new jack and you will have your two lines on two seprate jacks
get rid off the splitters and wire them up to jacks
