How to reconnect 2nd line to the orginal?
HI,
I recently moved into a house that used the basement as an apartment with its own phone line. Now we want all the jacks to be on the orginal phone line. There is a "phone company" box out side and a NID box inside ( which the previous owners said was installed by the phone company for the 2nd line). I have done some simple phone wiring before but I cant figure out for the life of me how to reverse this 2nd line. Any help with detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

well if the apartment always had its own line and if there are two nids in two loctaions you may have to run a cable and connect the two nids .
take a working jack off and look at how the cable is connected , now take the non working jack off and connect it the same way. if it works great , if not run a cable nid to nid and connect the apartment wiring up to the main house number .
