Interference on 2.4GHz cordless phone
I am suddenly experiencing really awful interference on my 2.4 GHz cordless phones. It's intermittent, though. About half the time when I push Talk, it occurs, and if it does occur, I just hang up and try again and it's fine. It happens on incoming and outgoing calls. I plugged in a corded phone and could not duplicate the interference. It's almost as though the cordless picks a different channel each time it's activated, and some of them are really noisy.
To answer the obvious, no, I don't have a wi-fi network in the house, but I can't say for sure if there are any in the neighborhood. I do know that my wireless-capable laptop has never detected any other networks, even when I walk up and down the street with it (which gets me some nice looks from the neighbors...).
Do I need to replace my phone, or is there another solution?
