Cell phone memory purge
I want to donate a couple of old cell phones to my carrier's recycling program. They say they purge all info from these phones before they re-distribute them but I don't trust them. Is there a DIY way to erase cell phone memory? I have a Samsung SCH-3500 and a Samsung N-370.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. If you are trying to purge your contacts list, I would recommend that you do that manually.
You could also look for a hardware reset button in the battery compartment, or a software reset in the menu somewhere.
You should probably also consult with the owner's manual for the phone. If you no longer have the owner's manual, you can probably find it on-line.
