LG 420G Speakerphone use?
My wife picked up a Tracfone prepaid cell.
The manual is not much of one as to using the features.
Can anyone tell me how to turn the speakerphone on and off?
I tried calling them and gave up after being on hold 20 minutes.

Yes, as posted in the header this is the LG 420G phone.
I have searched and found nothing so far.
I am amazed that Tracfone can put a phone out with no instructions on the features it has.
I think it's a pretty new phone.

OK, well I found out why the speaker was not showing on the screen.
Like he says, it shows during a call. And, as it turns out, my phone, even though it says it's active online and on the phone, is not active. I had activated my phone online but had not yet tried to call anyone.
I have called the company and they assure me it will be active soon.
They say someone had recorded the sim card # wrong.
We will see what happens today.

I cannot understand why this would be true.
The phone is brand new and was ordered directly from their website.
But I suppose anything is possible. The last I heard is that my phone would work in the nest 15 minutes. That was on Friday and needless to say the phone still does not work.
I have asked online for my money back for the minutes I paid for and cannot use.
If I don't get that I will challenge the charges against my credit card.
Then I guess I have a choice as to just lose the $22 for the phone or pay $8 to get $22 back to ship it.
It's still not a good way to do business.
I have spent lots of time on the phone with too many people trying to make this thing work.

OK, interesting. This one is a new model according to what I have found.
It makes little difference to me at this point as I have spent 5 days and some 8 hours on the phones with these clowns and nobody can make the phone work.
And when I try to use it it charges airtime~this for a phone that cannot make or receive a call.
