Strange Phone Line Fault, Appreciate Any Thoughts or Opinions

Four of the five phone lines in our house have gone dead. The one jack in the Master BR works fine. The outside jack at the box also works fine. This all started when I pulled off the phone jack cover in our master BR to put in an energy saver foam insert. That phone jack continued to work, but the other four in the house are dead. I removed the foam insert, but no change. Any ideas before I call in a repair man? Was my putting in the foam insert the reason for the dead lines or just coincidence? This has me baffled. Thanks!

You obviously disconnected some wiring accidentally when you put the foam insert in place.

But, why would all this one phone jack continue to work and the other four NOT work anymore? I'll see if I can take a good picture.

IT IS A BROKEN LINE! I took a closer look and one of the green lines snapped off. Thanks for that head's up. Now, any advice on stripping that thing? I've stripped lots of wire before, but none that small. I can barely see it!

Use your finger nail, it will usually just pull it off. If not a light pressure on a knife blade will do it.
