Unhappy How do I disconnect my old phone wires

I am concerned about my old phone line wiring. I have cut the colored wires on the side of my house in a attempt to disconnect them for good. Now I am concerned about the power source. Is it still connected? if so, were? what do I look for? Help.

Welcome to the forums.

If you cut the wires between the NID (network interface device) and the house......then the house wiring is dead.

The wiring between the phone company and the NID still has voltage on it.
