Replacing a non working apartment intercom
Hi Folks,
I have recently bought a condo (13 years old) and have noticed that the intercom doesn't work (the make of the panel is Mircom) so at the moment no-one can buzz me from the main door. I would like to buy and install a more modern panel and would be interested in knowing if this is a complicated matter. I asked the Mgmt company that runs the building how the system works and they said it works by pressing 9 on my landline phone to open the door. I don't have a landline. I would appreciate any advice/suggestions as to my options and the next steps that I should take. I have attached a few photos to help.
THANKS

Welcome to the forums.
You are wanting to update just your unit.... correct ?
That would mean two parts..... the one by the front door and the inside unit.
I see the Mircom unit but I couldn't get a model number off of it.
We need to determine how many wires you have in place and physical sizes of units.
We need to confirm that this isn't a multi condo unit.
There is also a control box or board that connects between the units.... have you seen that ?
