Setup Failed, Jitterbug Flip Phone

Hello:
I got Jitterbug Flip Phone from one of my friends because she is no longer interested in the phone.
The phone is still packed with her personal information and I called GreatCall by using my own Jitterbug smart phone asking 'Hard Reset.' However, the representative told me impossible to perform 'Hard reset.'
I, also attempted to perform 'Hard Reset' to wipe her personal information out, however the screen
indicating 'Setup Failed.'
Is there anyway to reset the phone?
Thanks for any help in advance.

I've never done that but be aware if you do "wipe" the memory..... you'll have to reactivate the phone.
Steps to reset a Jitterbug flip phone..... Jitterbug reset

I did that, but on the screen of the phone,....... 'Setup Failed.'
I heard about hooking the phone with the computer to perform "Hard Reset.'
What other method to perform 'Hard Reset?' Thanks,

It's not a mainstream phone so there isn't much interest in it from a "technical" standpoint.

General comment--not familiar with Jitterbug.

You probably can go through the phone settings one at a time and erase or wipe data. If there is a memory card you could remove it and wipe it on a computer if you cannot reformat it in the phone. Or replace it and destroy the old one. Any data on the SIM card will be removed when you replace the SIM. Destroy the old SIM card.
