need info on monitoring from home
I own a small restaurant and I am very interested in finding out how I go about sitting up a system to view my restaurant and employee's from my home over the internet. Can you tell me what I need and how to go about all of this.

The cheapest way obviously would be to get some generic surveillance cameras and attatch them to vcr's and record it onto tapes.
However, if you want to get more high tech than that you could be spending some big cash. I have not done something like this before, but it sounds like you would have to get some digital surveillance cameras. The broadband required to broadcast streaming video is great so you might need a dedicated t1 line and possible ISDN for digital capabilities.
On the cheaper note, if you have computers at the restraunt, maybe you can purchase web cams for them, and locate the web cams strategically. That way you can send the video straight to your home, and all you would likely need is dsl or cable modem.
