Lexmark X73 goes left and no print
My ink jet printer just crashed. When I turned it on the carriage slammed against the left side of the printer and it stays there. It’s a Lexmark X73 bought 8/14/01 and my year is up. Any ideas on what happen?
Thanks

canon 300 is cheapest

Lexmark goes left
Thanks for the feed back. It does the same with the door closed or open. It slams to the left so forcefully the it knocks the cartridges off their sockets. You are correct, my son tells me to buy and HP and that Lexmark are throw away printers on top of that the cartridges are too costly. I will try to install the software.
thx

It sounds like the belt slipped on the carriage, and it doesn't know where the end of "line" is. Unless you want to take it to a shop to repair it I would replace it. The printer that is.
