my buddy has a hard drive with a broken pin, so it will not read
but we need the info on it
how can we do this
fugitsu 6.8gig
can the bottom board be removed so i can solder a wire in temporarily?
we will junk it after

Yes, a board can be removed in most cases.
You can also try putting a right size pin in the connector, then pushing the connector in. Hopefully that will make enough contact with the drive pad to work.

Not sure if it would work, but worth a try. If you can get a pin or have then one that broke you might try getting some electrical conductive glue ( I doubt radio-nothing you need-shack will have it). You may be able to use this stuff and glue the pin back on long enough to get the data off. Or as trinitro says, but I would use a slightly longer pin so that it pushes against the broken one with some force and not just touching.
