Not sure what you mean exactly. Do you want to convert an avi or mpeg into vcd/svcd format so you can burn them onto a cd disk and play them with a dvd player?

I am looking for a software VCD player for Windows-2000. I bought several VCDs. I know that I can directly run them in Windows Media Player by opening one of the .dat (AVSEQ01.dat, AVSEQ02.dat, etc) file from MPEGAV directory on the CD.

What I am looking for is a software program that would just run the CD. There are several programs available - for example WinDVD (http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Produc...d.jsp?p=WinDVD), or PowerDVD (http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/d...le.jsp?dl_id=1), QuickVCD Player (http://download.com.com/3000-2194-10...ml?tag=lst-0-4), etc. I am looking for a comparison or review guide or somebody to share his/her own exprience with those programs.
