I have a sony dvd+rewritable drive and a tdk cd-rw drive, can I COPY DVD MOVIES AND THEN PLAY THEM ON A DVD-PLAYER.

Yes, but you will have to copy them to your HD first. CD-RW will not read or write DVD's. Only your DVD player/writer will.

This would be when the 7200 rpm IDE ATA 133 drive earns its keep.

You can make dvd movies into vcd's and copy them off onto cdr's

how do I copy the dvd movie to my HD?
Are you sure you have a DVD-RW and not just a DVD drive? If you don't know, you have a DVD drive.

Whats the model number of the sony? It should of came with software to help you do this.
