Video Editing
I know virtully nothing about this, I have a Sony video camera....I'm pretty sure it's analog but it could be digital, i'm honetly not sure, i dont even know how to tell....is there any way i can plug my camera into my computer, (does it matter if it's analog or digital), and if i can do this, is there any video editing programs i can get that are good for just minor editing....just to fool around with.
any help would be great,
thanks!

I haven't used any Video Capture cards/hardware/programs myself, so I can't attest to their quality, but there are quite a few options out there.
Dazzle is one of them. They have several different capture devices to choose from. If I remember correctly, they all come with some sort of editing software too. I've heard good and bad about Dazzle.
I've also seen some USB options. Basically it's just a USB plug with RCA plugs on the other end. Whether or not this will work with your camera, depends on your cameras outputs. Look in the User Manual if you're not sure. RCA plugs are the round (Red/Yellow/White) plugs that you see on DVD players, VCRs, TVs, and most stereo receivers.
If you can't figure out what capabilities your camera has, tell us what model it is and we'll track it down for you.
Good luck!

Yeah, you'll have to do some searching, but I know they are out there. If I'm not mistaken X-10 has an adapter, I think it runs about $50-60. It's usually used with their wireless camera receivers.
