I have a small office that has 6 computers (4 win200 - 2 win98). The current network is centralized around a Linksys 8 port DSL router/firewall/switch. I am wanting to add wireless to the environment. I have an extra Linksys 802.11b 4 port router. I would like to keep the existing router were it is and add the wireless off of it (let the existing control the routing). Can I do this? Do I need to turn the routing function "off" on the wireless router, basically become just a switch and access point on the network? Or does the wireless box need to route IP addresses to the wireless machines in order to connect into the network.

since they are both linksys, you should be able to use their tech support to help you. It looks like you should be able to. Look here for instructions to use a wired and wireless router:
