new computer
I just got a new computer and was wanting to know...how can I put some of my old E-mails on a floppy disc to transfer to my new machine. If there is a way, please explain it in detail.

Windows? 98, XP?
In Windows 98 the path to the files is:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{EABD9EC0-1E88-11D7-9096-00A0CC32209B}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express
Copy the file folders with the extension .dbx to a floppy, if they will fit, and load them into your other computer.
Hope this helps.

Don't just copy a folder from one system to another.
Doing so may work, but...
You may lose whatever is in your new computer's email folder.
Your new computer's email tool may stop working.
Your old emails may not appear at all, or may appear corrupted.
Instead, look for a way to export your old email on your old system to a file. Then look for a way to import those old emails into your new system. Depending on the email tool you use (you should have told us what it is) you should be able to export from one computer and import into another.

Or, the easiest thing to do - just forward the e-mails to yourself. Then you can reopen them from the new computer and not have to worry about copying anything.
Good luck!

My old computer used windows 98 and outlook express 5.0. My new computer uses windows XP and outlook express 6.0. Unfortunately, I don't have internet access to my old computer.

* Edited - Completely unnecessary *
Export the information on the old machine and then import it on the new machine.
