from 321 studios faqs:
Question: Do I have to own a DVD Burner/Writer?

Answer:
YES! You must have a DVD+R(W) or DVD-R(W) drive installed in your PC. Check with your PC's manufacturer to make sure you have one.

I own a burner, but it is not installed yet. I installed the xcopy program first and was messing around with it when I noticed the error message came up when I tried to transfer the movie data over.

The FAQ seems somewhat misleading:

Question: Do I have to own a DVD Burner/Writer?
Ok, no problem - you own a DVD Burner.

YES! You must have a DVD+R(W) or DVD-R(W) drive installed in your PC. Check with your PC's manufacturer to make sure you have one.
Wait a minute!!! You have to install it too???

J/K - but, seriously, maybe you should wait until you have the burner in to try burning movies

Good luck!
