Digital audio from cd drive...

I noticed that next to the analog output on my AOpen CD rom drive, there is a digital audio socket. Can this be hooked up to my soundblaster 16? Or is it for something else?

You'll need a soundcard with a digital input. Your SB16 probably doesn't have that. There is really no need for it anyway as the quality drop is very small.

Most CDROMs and computers now support DAE (Digital audio extraction) anyway.
