Control Panel Icon

I'm running a 400mhz with '98. I used Add/Remove programs to get rid of software from a device I gave away. The device's icon still remains in Control Panel. Where in the registry is the folder for Control Panel icons? I've looked, and searched, a bunch, but it's managed to evade me. TIA for any help!!!

Well, they are not stored in the registry, they are stored in the Windows/System32 folder - you're looking for files with extension CPL. Just be very careful which ones you delete. If I remember correctly, you can double-click them to open the different modules to see exactly what they are - most of them are easy enough to figure out, but some have obscure names.

Good luck!
