Toshiba Laptop Battery Replacement

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop (Model 2655XDVD) which has a bad RTC (bios) battery. How do I get access to that battery so I can replace it. It wasn't available under the main battery or hard drive. Apparently it is hidden under something else. Does anyone have any info on this? Toshiba's web site didn't offer any insight because they want me to use their repar facilties.

Locations of these devices vary from model to model but, in most cases, these devices are found underneath the keyboard.

Toshiba Laptop (cont)

I'm still looking for how to replace the RTC (Bios) battery on a Toshiba Laptop. I did look under the keyboard but only found the Modem. I had the battery shipped to me but haven't dicovered how to access it. Is there an FTP site that might have a maintenance manual for the laptop? Thanks for early reply but still searching. Thanks

*Gaming Problem* Hello. I have sort of a problem. Here are my system specs: Speed: 1.4 AMD Athlon HDD: 40 G @ 7200 RPM RAM: 512 MB VIDEO RAM: 64 MB (SHARED) (Module: SiS 630/730) I have a pretty decent system, which should be able to play games at a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768. But the problem is, is that I can't. What happens? That game runs very slow, it freezes, or stalls, or the mosue moves very slow and there is a delay from when I move it to when it actually occurs on the screen. The game I was trying to play was 007 Nightfire. However, this problem occurs to any game I install. Running it at the smallest resolution seems to have no effect either. ALso, doing that makes the game look horrible!! (which is not worth playing. I just wanna know that if I have a very good system for gaming, why can't it play games? Please let me know, and if you need more information on my system specs, I can look it up.Read More

You guys may remember telling you that I wanted to hook up internet to my MAC computer through the broadband I already had. Well, I did that. I hooked up the ethernet to the router. Now I have three computers setup for internet access. After the connection was complete I went to google and it came up really fast like it was actually utilising my broadband speeds. However after that day and every day after it only seems to go at 90KBPS. What I want to know is why that computer is not working at 350KPBS or close to that. Even 250KPBS would be just fine. But 90 is a little slow. Any help would be appreciated. Mac computer is a 7300/180 with 112 built in memmory and using 113 virtual memmory. 500MB HD with 130MB Left. The internet on the pc computers utilise the speeds very well vs the mac does not.Read More
