Insufficient System Resources

I seem to have a major problem. When I start Windows (2000), I get a message that says it "cannot load user's profile" because of "insufficient system resources." When I ran Fix-It Ulilities (which I've used on this system for years) and did a memory check, it said it could only check 67% of the memory and had to change the page request size. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

do you run symantec corporate antivirus? if you do, you need the
newest SymEvent driver. It can be obtained from:
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/fil...t/symevnt.html

Make sure you have enough room on the hard drive (at least 15% free but more is better) and try to close some of your startup programs.

You can download startup control panel here:
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
It's alot like msconfig, which wasn't included in win2k. Uncheck any programs that are not necessary. You can always recheck them later. Be sure to clean up the hard drive, run disk cleanup, and defrag it. Run ad aware or spybot s & d to remove spyware.

It does sound like RAM and HD inadequacies.

How much RAM do you have?
Bad RAM will usually make the system crash, but anything is possible.
How much free space on the HD do you have?
