HP LH Pro Netserver

Bought this 80 pound hunk of metal off of Ebay, just to tinker with it. Have a fresh install of Windoze 2000 Server. Problem is one of the six SCSI Drives will not format. It is deemed "write protected". There are jumpers on the drive for write protection, but this drive is not jumpered. All other drives work well. It is a HP 18 GB drive. Any suggestions on how to get the write protection off? Tried formatting with FAT32 and NTFS.

TIA

I don't know much about SCSi configuration, but I beleive it is in between. I haven't tried swapping the drive to a different slot yet, since I didn't think that would make any difference.

There can be only 7 devices in a SCSI chain and the chain must be properly terminated.

Take a look here to see if the computer is listed.

There is a lot of information on this site that may prove uselful.

Hope this helps.
