I am having a problem with my outlook express. I am unable to open the program. Every time I try to open it I get a window to send an error report to MS. I have tried using the torubleshooter guide, but the only thing it says to do is check the file name, which is correct. If I log on as a different user, then the program works right. I am at a loss, can anyone help me? Is there something else I can check? Can I uninstall and then reinstall it again?
Thanks,

Yes, you can unistall and then reinstall. That may or may not solve your problems. SInce you didn;t tell us the OS there is no way of knowing if the problem is related to your data files or to other installed programs.
However, I would uninsdtall and then leave uninstalled. Outlook Express is poorly written inferior software. Inferior to just about every other email program out there. Try one of the other free programs instead or use something you pay for, but please use something else. Outlook Express isn't worthy of even being distributed for free.

OE is a perfectly fine email/news application if used properly, safe computing goes a long way, been using it since it was beta with no problems at all. It is likely that if you can run it from a different account that your account data or identity is corrupt, See the link for more info.

still having problems
Ok, now I am able to open OE, but when I try to retrieve my email, it will not work. I deleted my Identities in regedit, this allowed oe to open. I went thru and set up my account. I can send mail, but when I try and get mail, it says that my user name or password was rejected. Like I mentioned before, If I log on the computer as a different user, then the email works. I evened tried adding an identity to that user, but it still doesn't work. Everything that I have tried in my user does not work. It get stuck on authorizing. My os is Windows XP and I am using Internet Exp. 6. What can I do now? Please help!

If you are having trouble accessing a particular email account, but can access some others, then your settings for the email account in question are not correct.

As was stated, something isn't set right. Compare the incoming and outgoing (pop3 and smtp) server settings of an account that works to the one that doesn't.

I agree something must be up with your settings I have four email addresses
with outlook everything Is working fine for me..!There are a lot of options with outlook express click tools then click options and carefully think what your doing and working the settings? When you answer your favorite message do It by hitting the reply button [not the send message button]

You also must have your favorite message open before you can hit the reply button eh? think think.has far as your email address they must be set up properly or outlook express wouldn't allow It to go threw.your proplem
must be under tools options check em over carefully and think what your doing?also syncronize everything some messages might end up In a bulk folder
or deleated Items. You can also adjust the maintenance so It won't deleate
