MSN popup

I guess even I have to ask a question on occassion...

One of my clients uses Outlook 2003. He also uses MSN. Now, I know NOTHING about MSN (there's a reason for that ). About a month ago, something strange started happening. When he opens Outlook now, a screen pops up that says, "This way to the best of the internet" with a username and password login screen and an MSN logo. Very official-looking logo.

It's NOT spyware or virii, that much I am positive about.

No matter what you do, the message will not go away. Cancel, sign in, right info, wrong info... Doesn't matter. It just doesn't go away and keeps popping up.

WHT IS THIS?! I have Googled all over the place and have gotten nowhere. I'd appreciate any help because this is driving him (and me now) crazy.

Oh, and by the way...

I have even uninstalled MSN and MSN Messenger completely. Since he retrieves his e-mail via POP3 access through Outlook, there was no need to have them installed anyway. Even THAT doesn't get rid of this stupid popup. I'm almost at the end of my rope... Any thoughts?

I had already found that, tae. Unfortunately, no dice... Any other thoughts?

Just my usual arcastic answer,

Uninstall the OS and start with something worthwhile....and ditch MSN? Although, have you tried logging in?

if it were me, i would uninstall one of the outlooks, or even both, and reinstall one at a time. If the client doesn't use express, take it out. See what happens. Another option....convert them to thunderbird. Anyway, it seems to be an outlook/msn compatability problem.

Yeah, he's tried everything. No dice. Believe me, I'm an Open Source advocate, user, and contributor. If I could get him away from Windows, I would.

I think I'll have to do that, although it's a pain. As stated above, open source is unfortunately not an option. This guy doesn't even really understand the most basic programs. He'll never rock the boat.
