mozilla Firefox Tips
Ok, alot of people have started using firefox. i thought I would post a few neat "tricks" for it. maybe some others will post some too.
To speed up launching:
Right-click on the Firefox icon on your desktop and choose Properties. Where it says Target, put the following behind the existing path: /prefetch:1. You should see something like this then:
"C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla Firefox\\firefox.exe" /prefetch:1
Click 'OK' and reboot your rig. This should speed up FF significantly
Word Lookup
If you highlight a word anywhere on a webpage and then right-click on that word, an option comes up to do a google search on that term. It'll open the search in a new tab. It's a nice little timesaver.
And if you ever want to look up the definition of a word, rather than loading dictionary.com and then typing in the word, just type "dict word" in the address bar. For example, if I wanna know what the word eponymous means, i just type "dict eponymous" (without the quotes) in the address bar.
If you happen to browse the fatwallet forum(fatwallet.com) there is a firefox extension just for you:
