Problem with my handycam, urgent help needed?

I own a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV60. It has 2 MP still photo capability. Everything works fine except one very crucial thing and this is really very important.

When i rip the videos that i record from my Mini DV camera onto the Hard disk with the software provided, THERE IS NO SOUND. I tried ripping videos onto 2 different computers, just to confirm and have the same problem on both of them. So basically now i cannot reuse the Mini DV tapes and i have to keep buying new ones, because i cannot store a copy on the pc and hence reuse the same one.

Help would be dearly appreciated.
Thank you

writetovarun,

I believe it will be a problem with your copy sotware but I'm not sure.

If you post back with the details on which copy software you are using and your computer specs, I will copy this to the computer forum.
Maybe someone there will know.

Connection answer is important

How you are connecting to the computers is important. In some cases, you need to run the audio thru the sound card for it to be recorded.
