which laptop should I choose?

which laptop should I choose?
My office is going to supply me with a laptop. I've been given two models to choose from:
Dell Latitude D400
Dell Latitude D600
Just want to hear from some people in the know about which one I should choose. Based on specs, which is the better one for me to choose?
Does anyone currently have one or the other?
I appreciate all comments and suggestions.

Well, the D400 certainly has the power to do what you want (which is pretty basic stuff), and I like the fact that it's lighter.
The main problem I have with it is that it's only got a 12.1" screen. Solely because of that, I'd go with the D600.
