Windows Media Player

Hi Everyone, How do I make Windows Media Player my default player? I have WMP; SonicStage and Real One software on my machine. I thought WMP was the captured default when I play something from 'My Music' folder but sometimes SonicStage plays the music and sometimes Real One plays the song. Some of 'My Music' folder carries a WMP icon, some the SonicStage icon and some the Real One icon. I would like to play all my music with WMP without having to toggle for it. Sidebar; I can not add music midis to my OE personal e-mails when the music has a SonicStage icon in Music folder. Thanks for all your help. Rae
Sony Vaio; Pentium 4; 120 GB; 512 Ram; IE; OE

If you uninstall the unwanted programs, WMP will be the default. You can change the associations in WMP to be the default player for all the audio types.

Thanks, Chris You have come thru again. I went into Folder Options; file types and found everything with SonicStage icons and Real One icons and made the change to WMP. Now most everything in My Music folder carries the WMP icon. SonicStage software came with my tower so don't want to uninstall it...(it a pristine thing-original manufacturers software choice) and I may use it someday. Right now, I don't have the time to learn new, except for tried and true. Real-One is a downloaded file which is handy too. Here's a thank-you from me to you... http://www.globalarray.net/user/shotzy/hero.html
