PCI EXPRESS video card :(

Has any one installed a PCI EXPRESS video card yet? I am building a new system with an ASUS P5AD2 PREMIUM mobo. And an ANTEC “neo” power supply. I can not get any display out of my ATI Radeon X800 XT Video card. Help me please!

First thing I would do is remove the PCI-x card and install a PCI graphics card and see if you get video, this will better determine where to look for the problem.

Also, have you tried the other PCI-X slots? That mobo has 3 slots, only one of which is the x16 version. Putting the card in another slot may help.

Sorry, I'm no PCI-X expert. I've barely used it...

I have a PCI-Express system up and running for over a month now, runs great. Check the power connection for your graphics card. I believe the X800 needs additional power. Most cards come with a power splitter/adapter for this.
