custom.dic file

Waht is the custom.dic file that keep showing up on my desktop?

Have deleted many of them.............

custom.dic is a custom dictionary. When you tell Microsoft Outlook, for example, that a particular word or phrase is valid and that it should Add it, it will make the addition to the custom.dic file. This way the program won't tell you over and over again that the word or phrase can't be found.

However, these files should not be created on the desktop.

Basically, you need to find the program that the custom dictionary belongs to, and tell it specifically where to save the custom.dic file (other than the desktop).
