Protected Files

Can I delete my protected files in my recycle bin? or is there a reason I should keep them. Does it slow the computer down?

By "Protected? do you mean Norton? You can probably delete anything in your recycle bin, but what are the files?

??????

If I right click on my recycle bin, I says empty recycling bin, and the other one says empty Nortan protected files. If I click on the protected files it says there are 1,500 protected files on my hard drive "C" and it asks if I want to delete them.

It's probably safe to delete them, but I would wait until someone who actually uses Norton to answer. I don't use it, so I am not 100% positive.

I use Norton. The Norton Protected Recycle Bin is just sort of the standard Recycle Bin on steroids. You can go ahead and empty it just as you would your regular Recycle Bin.
