Video from Computer to TV

I want to play movies from my Computer downstairs to the TV in
my MBR upstairs.
What the best way to do this? I have Network cables run.

Well it depends on what is on your computer, some of them have and s-video out along with a a/v out on the sound card, if you have any of these I would recommend using them because it is the cheapest, most convient way to do this. If you dont have them you can get something called the Media MVP it works by connecting through your cat5 port and then into your network, now the only problem that I have encountered with this is people dont like to spend the $60-$100 for them, but if really want to do this you can get them at Radioshack, Best Buy etc.... If you need more help please post away.

Heres a link so you can read up on it

S-Video cable runs of over 50 to 60 feet are not recommended due to signal loss, if your run is longer you'll need to find a better option.

VERY TRUE, but from what i have seen that is over rated I have noticed with Monster S-cable anything over 25ft starts to loose signal, so if you do decide to do it this way I would get a s-video inline amp just to be safe
