microsoft xp 'beta' anti-spyware question

i downloaded microsofts new anti-spy beta software and now every time i log on a window opens asking me if i want to accept some software program that might be needed for other programs. It comes up as a 'blue' window, some windows are 'red' with a warning.
Is it o.k. to accept the additions in the 'blue' windows,or should i reject the downloads? What about the windows that are 'red'.
I'm really confused about these window choices. Any comments would be appreciated. Rest of the program download seems to be running o.k.

We can't really answer this without you telling us what programs are being downloaded. However, in general, your computer should not be downloading programs when you log in.

Racraft is correct. Computers downloading programs after login is unusuall, which brings up suspecians. I would run antivirus scans and spyware scans. Let us know how it goes.

computer does not download any programs. It does ask if i want to 'download programs that would be essential to other programs'.
This microsoft program is indee from microsoft and i run its spyware/antivirus programs. The antivirus/spyware virus search has detected some 'junk' that the
software removed.
I have been deleting any programs that the software program has
marked as "suspious". These are what the microsoft program has determined as dangerous
(red bordered alerts) so i refused to accept them in case they were 'junk'.

The blue border alerts say 'these programs may be essential to other operating programs and may affect these programs operations.

I just want to be cautious. Have run all my other antivirus programs and everything is clean.
