xp pro or xp home

I am in the planning stage of upgrading my parents Dell 1G P3 256M RAM Win98 computer to XP. One decision that has me stumped is whether to go with XP Pro or XP Home. The only networking they plan to do is share folders and a printer. I am leaning towards XP Home. Is there any reason to pay the extra $$ for Pro in this case?

Thanks.

From your description of your parent's setup I would suggest XP-Home.

Thanks for your replies. I will go with Home. Newegg sells it for $91 with a hardware purchase and I plan to buy myself a Thinkpad T42 .

A major advantage of XP Pro over Home in a home environment is that you can easily restrict what individual users can and cannot do on/to a PC. XP Home has a lot of those features missing. If you want to have multiple users, and want to customize what different users can and cannot do, go with Pro. If that is all meaningless for them, don't waste the extra money.

I *highly* recommend that if you go with home, and you are letting them at it with administrator control (which they have by default), that you install Mozilla Firefox on this PC and disable access to Internet Explorer (or at least get them using Firefox instead of IE). That will go a LONG way to preventing malware infections of the PC.
