nt kenel system

Hello
My firewall just told me that ntoskrnl.exe was trying to reach the internet and I said no. I googled it and I could not figure out if I did the right thing as most references were to a corrupted file.
I had just installed a router with a firewall so don't know if this further complicates issues. Should I have allowed access?
Thanx
Pete

Hello and thank you-I see it does not use the network so I'll block it unless I have a problem with a program.
