Thumbs up two line bar of ads at bottom of screen help

My wife and I share the same computer, on here side of the screen that houses her stuff, is a two line bar of ads that has attached itself to the bottom of her screen. We are unable to get rid of it, even though we have Norton Anti Virus, Spy sweeper in place and Spy Bot and Ad aware programs to run to sniff out viruses, when we run the viruse scan and get rid of infected areas this two line bar refuses to go away, please send help or infor as to what I can do to get rid of this, Thanks Ever so Much

Is there any clue as to what company it is from? What do you get if you right click on it?

Two line Bar

There is no company names or any indication of ownership, right click does nothing to effect its being there

Download HijackThis from http://computercops.biz/zx/Merijn/hijackthis.zip

Unzip it and double click on hijackthis.exe

Click the scan and save a log button.

Post the complete contents of the log it creates. I'll take a look in the morning and hopefully be able to tell you what you need to do to remove the toolbars.

Don't fix anything with hijackthis until your log has been reviewed.

Hit fix checked and close Hijackthis.

Unzip the files inside swap.zip open the folder run swap.bat

Wait for it to complete its job, Dont be alarmed it will restart your PC,

When Back post a new Hijackthis log and the c:\log.txt

Weatherbug is actually an optional fix now Tae they are said to have changed their practices considerably for the better. But I still dont like it.
