program files

I removed real player from add/remove then 'search' for remnants but it still exists in my system config utility>startup. I have gone to HKEYS;1-local, 2-root, 3- user, recommended to me and followed directions to 'run' to delete in the right pane but it wasn't there either.
I had a late thought- When I get to my machine at home, if I find Real Player in program files, can I right click it and delete it or will I lose windows files? (Should I create a restore point and back up the registry first?) Thank you

you should be able to delete that from program files...a restore point isn't necessary, but it's not necessary to remove it either...unless you're short on harddrive space i wouldn't bother with it!

program files

I'm confused as another message said not to remove it from program files b/c other 'dll' files may be involved. I am not going to fuss about it. Thank you
