colors
Hello
If I am in the wrong section could you please move me. I have used this site for years and love it. However, I have tried all the tips, faqs etc to find out how to insert text as 'colors' in my replies. I click on red for example and it says, "[color red] where I am typing but it isn't red.
Please let me know how to do this or refer me to someone who can?
Thank you
Grampy Pete

I think I have to type in the little box over the message box-is there any way to type in the box so you can insert your own text in a reply from another?

you wont see the color until you post it.
it's a simple command, and you can use html tags here.
when you click on a color, and the box shows up, at the top of the box it shows you the tags you need to use.
you can insert these tags wherever you like.
it's "bracket[" then "color="whatever color you want)" like... color=red..then bracket]
then type in the text, then you must close the tags which is just
bracket[ backslash/ and the word color...[/color]
if you dont close the tags, everything from the first tag on will be whatever color you choose.
you can insert the tags wherever you wish.
you can have every
word different .

here's a simple quick tutorial/explanation from the vbulletin faqs:
http://forum.doityourself.com/misc.php?do=bbcode
just remember that not all of the forums here have the code/tags turned on.
