Question slow computer

I have a 56 k lucky to get to 44 it is really slow i tried a booster program but still slow BTW i use a dialup does anyone know how to speed up this thing?

You can't. 56K does not really mean 56K. If you are seeing 44K you are doing well.

To speed it up, get a faster connection. DSL in many parts of the country is less than $15 per month.

Another option is to try a different browser, you'd be amazed how much faster Mozilla Firefox is then Internet Explorer.

A booster does nothing but further compress web images.

44K is good. If you need more actual downloading speed, get broadband.

Use a web accelerator http://webaccelerator.google.com/ you will get a minimum of 10% speed increase.

That is a percieved increase It might help for casual web browsing, but doesn't help with hard downloads.

44K is definietely really good. 56K is theorhetical - considering all the line noise and everything else, getting 44K-48K is very good indeed.

If you want to boost your download speed, you have to move up to broadband. If you want to just browse faster, then there are web accelerators that will help with that, but your download speed will remain the same
