Hard Drive Kits

Is there such a thing if I take out the hard drive from my old Desk Top PC I could install it into some sort of housing so that I could use it as an additional external hard drive with my Notebook?
Is it worth it?

Thanks

Yrs. You can get empty USB 2.0 IDE boxes you can use a drive you have in it. For a notebook, it is worth it, as notebook HDDs cost more, and you cannot internally add much storage. I have one, but I got it with a fairly large new drive, and use it portably. It works well for me.
