Formatting & reinstalling
I have an old Gateway(spare) that has become very cluttered with junk & I want to format & reinstall win.xp. I have backed up what I want to save & now need to wipe the drive clean. Do I just go to My Computer, Drive C, Format?

before you start, make sure that you have a legal copy of Windows to install. Windows XP won't run (after a few days) if this copy has been installed on another PC and registered. Also, make sure that the PC can handle Windows XP. An "old" PC may not be powerful enough for it.
