windows Vista

Is that right did I hear right windows Vista delayed by a year?
Would appreciate any feedback here !

Nope, it was due in I believe November of 2006, been pushed to January 2007, so that's only 3 months.

Vista

Thats o.k. windows xp works great anyway
what happens next year will those who get Vista need a brand new 64 bit dual core
processor

No, Vista will not require either a 64 bit or dual core CPU

Look at it this way:

While 64 bit and dual core machines are all the rave for the future, they only represent a small portion of the market, and will for some time. Microsoft would be shooting themselves in the foot if they abandoned the 32 bit marker.

Microsoft stands to make billions by selling their new OS to many of the people who presently use XP on their 32 bit machines.
