What shall I use for web graphics editing?
Hi Everybody!
We'd like to open a new department for web site design, but I know nothing about PRO graphics software. Can you tell me what software to choose and what it will cost me?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You're asking 2 different questions, really -- graphic design and web design. For graphics it's usually a matter of personal preference. I'd say Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are probably the de facto standards.
For web design there are lots of options - I like Dreamweaver and Go Live.

Macromedia
I think Macromedia makers of Dreamweaver was aquired recently by Adobe. If cost is an issue Adobe Elements is a lot cheaper than Photoshop and while you get what you pay for the level of skill required to make use of a lot of the advanced photoshop tools.
