Old Version Software

I would like to purchase an older version of a program (specifically, 3D Studio Max v 4.0) since the newer versions are overkill for my purposes. All that I can find at retail sites is the latest version.

Are there outlets for older version software? (legal of course)

Try using google and searching. Some vendors sometimes sell old software.

Be aware, however, that the software may not be supported at all by the manufacturer and there may be no recourse (no refund) if it won't work on your newer hardware.

Old Version Software

Sometimes you can find old versions of software on E Bay.

After people upgrade, they get what they can for the old version, but you may not get the support.
